So far we've focused on where the store is in 2020! Yay vast, extended team!
Now, I can
say with honesty, "Celebrating 35 years", (all of which were not easy)

I know I
could claim the business is "essential", as we all know that being able
to craft, sew & create means a healthier psyche and soul.

can even help you shop with FACETIME and MESSENGER VIDEO CALLS are
available too. Contact us in one of the more normal ways to
arrange this beforehand. Thanks!
calling is quite fun, and if you haven't discovered the magic of video
phone calls with your cell phone, let us help you learn. Practice
with us. You can surprise your family (like I did when I called
my sister last week! Her surprised reaction was funny. I
was the first Messenger video call she'd ever gotten! hahaha).
Things continue changing around here.
We are taking all the
common sense precautions! ;)
I do not need a mask, as I am not sick.
Fabric SURGICAL MASKS are "all the
rage" right now. I caution you to not jump on the bandwagon of
sewing these until you know who wants/needs your masks. There are
several styles being made. Some more popular than others.
These FABRIC MASKS are very limited in their uses.
Here is a link that I found helpful
in deciding what I should use to make a mask. It uses an actual
scientific study to make suggestions. Complete with charts.
I like this
pattern. I like the Center-Front seam. HelloSewing.com has
just added a one-page, downloadable instruction, in addition to the
full-size pattern with seam allowances included. There are also
lengthy on-line instructions with pictures.
We are out
of elastic. We will try to find a new source, but meanwhile,
stitch narrow ties, combine with a smaller piece of elastic for comfort
and flexibility, or experiment with hair-ties, still available at
groceries and pharmacies.
With great appreciation for your continued support and sincere concern for all our well beings,
be careful out there! And hope to see or hear from you soon!
